How to activate email in prestashop for localhost

you can successfully send test email to SMTP server after configurring email at back office.

Open Your back office and go to:
Back Office >> Advanced Parameters >> Email

From there set

Set my own SMTP parameters (for advanced users ONLY)

And in Email Configuration tab set

SMTP server => smtp.gmail.com
SMTP username => your gmail id
SMTP password => your gmail password
Encryption => ssl
Port => 465

Also you can test Email by adding you email id in

 TEST YOUR EMAIL CONFIGURATION >> Send a test email to box.
